Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 April 2026

This policy explains what we do with the personal information you give us when you join the PawSpot waitlist. We've tried to write it in plain English — no surprises.

Who we are

PawSpot ("we", "us") is based in the United Kingdom. We're the data controller for the information you give us through this website.

You can contact us at hello@pawspot.co.uk for any questions about this policy or your data.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect:

  • Your name and email address (required, so we can recognise you and reach out)
  • Your type — whether you signed up as a dog owner or a field owner, so we can send relevant messages
  • (Field owners only) your current field website, if you choose to share one
  • Any notes or feedback you choose to add

That's it. We don't ask for or collect anything else, and we don't use tracking cookies on this site.

Why we collect it

One reason: to contact you when PawSpot launches, so you can join early.

We may occasionally send relevant pre-launch updates (for example, "we're launching in your area soon" or a request for feedback that helps us build something useful), but only because you actively asked to be on the waitlist.

We will not use your data for anything else, and we will not market unrelated products to you.

Legal basis (UK GDPR)

Your consent, given when you submitted the waitlist form. You can withdraw it at any time — see Your rightsbelow — and we'll delete your details without question.

How long we keep your data

We keep your information until the earlier of:

  • The moment you ask us to delete it, or
  • 24 months after PawSpot launches, if you haven't responded to any of our launch emails by then.

After that we'll delete your details from our database.

Who we share it with

No one.We don't sell, rent, or share your details with any third party for marketing purposes — full stop.

This website and its database run on our own server in the United Kingdom. Your data is not transferred to any third-party hosting or storage processor.

If we ever start using a third-party service (analytics, email delivery, hosting, etc.) that processes your data, we'll list it here and update this policy first.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — ask for a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Rectify — ask us to correct anything that is wrong
  • Erase— ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Object — tell us to stop processing your data
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, with no consequence
  • Complain— to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

To exercise any of these, just email hello@pawspot.co.uk. We'll respond within 30 days (usually the same week).

Cookies and tracking

This site does not use tracking cookies. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in future, we'll update this policy and tell you what we're using and why.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change materially affects how we use your data, we'll email you beforehand.

Questions about any of this? Email hello@pawspot.co.ukand we'll get back to you.
